About Joshua
I live in St. Cloud with my wife Kari and my son Hunter. Kari and I were married in June of 2004 in St. Cloud. Our wonderful son Hunter was born in January of 2007, and continues to be everything we had hoped for and more. Kari is a Registered Nurse at HealthPartners Central Minnesota Clinics in St. Cloud and was employed at the St. Cloud Hospital prior to that. I am employed at Capital Granite in St. Cloud. It is great to be involved in an industry that is so important to our local economy. Together, we enjoy spending time outdoors, at the lake or in the woods. We love to fish, go to movies, spend time with our families and I love to hunt. (No Hunter was not named after hunting, even though I would like to think so!) We feel that we have truly been blessed in our lives and are thankful everyday for our friends and family.
I believe very strongly in getting involved. We are very lucky to live in a country where the people choose who represents them, and are able to make a decision about how our country is governed. I believe that if you want to make a difference that you need to make sure your voice is heard. I have been accused in the past of having a very loud voice. When elected in November of 2008, I intend to use it to make sure the voice of THE PEOPLE gets heard.

I am running for State Representative to ensure a positive direction for the State of Minnesota. When elected I will fight hard for all Minnesotan's! As a husband and father, I will protect our paychecks and allow individuals to decide how to save and spend their hard earned money based on what makes the most sense for their families. Honest hardworking families can't afford to give the government their paycheks for wasteful government spending. I will help to ensure that the government lives within their means just as Minnesota families have to do every day. It's time for Minnesota to offer a hand up, not a hand out.
Having a family I understand the need for the education of our children. I will fight hard for an education system that looks out for all Minnesota children and rewards teachers for doing what they do best...educate.
My wife is a Registered Nurse, and she sees patients that are forced to make difficult medical decisions every day. I will fight hard to make sure that it's the patients and the doctors that make their medical decisions...not the government.
